S\u00ed, gracias! <br>No me hab\u00eda dado cuenta. <br><strong>Y eso de idiop\u00e1tica qu\u00e9 significa? <\/strong><br>Pues que no hay etiolog\u00eda identificada. <br>Pero\u2026 y los factores de riesgo? No son interesantes?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Hace muchos a\u00f1os me pregunt\u00e9 sobre el papel del cuello en todo este tinglao.<br>Sobre todo cuando empec\u00e9 a ver beb\u00e9s con temas de cuello. <br>La compensaci\u00f3n tor\u00e1cica a los problemas cervicales era m\u00e1s que evidente. De hecho en TMPI es un sistema excelente de evaluaci\u00f3n cervical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Lleg\u00f3 a mis manos hace un tiempo un art\u00edculo superinteresante de Kim y cols, 2019. <br>En el paper analizaban<strong> la relaci\u00f3n entre la escoliosis y la tort\u00edcolis muscular cong\u00e9nita<\/strong>. <br>Y qu\u00e9 descubrieron? Espera ahora te cuento<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Pues resulta que me dio por hacer un b\u00fasqueda en Pub Med con 3 palabras.<br>B\u00fasqueda <strong>&#8220;scoliosis congenital torticollis&#8221;<\/strong>. <br>El resultado muy triste. 4 papers. <br>Mucho menos que si buscas: <strong>&#8220;alien back pain&#8221;<\/strong> (dolor de espalda en un extraterrestre) con 47 papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>A veces uno piensa. Cuantos m\u00e1s papers m\u00e1s posible encontrar uno bueno.<br>De estos 4. Uno era sobre torticolis en pollos de engorde\u2026 interesante para <strong>Kentucky Fried Chicken<\/strong>.<br>Otro sobre una hemiv\u00e9rtebra C2 segmentada\u2026 gracias a Dios poco frecuente <br>Y el otro sobre el seguimiento de 30 a\u00f1os de unos gemelos con un fenotipo discordante\u2026 vale ya\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Pero este de Kim y cols era realmente genial por su originalidad <br><strong>Estudiaron la escoliosis cervicodorsal secundaria a una tort\u00edcolis muscular cong\u00e9nita<\/strong>. <br>A pesar de que el estudio no era metodol\u00f3gicamente muy fino (retrospectivo, sin grupo control, \u2026) <br>los resultados dan que pensar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hasta el 82% de los beb\u00e9s con tort\u00edcolis desarrollaron esa escoliosis.<\/li>\n<li>Liberar el cuello con cirug\u00eda mejor\u00f3 a mitad el \u00e1ngulo Cobb de la escoliosis.<\/li>\n<li>Si operaban el cuello antes de los 15 a\u00f1os el resultado era mucho mejor que despu\u00e9s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Preguntas que surgen: <br><strong>Son los problemas cervicales un posible factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de una futura escoliosis?<\/strong> <br><strong>Cu\u00e1nto el cuello deber\u00eda estar como prioridad en el tratamiento de la escoliosis idiop\u00e1tica<\/strong> <br>Y otras mil preguntas que no te contar\u00e9 aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>As\u00ed que dale una vuelta. <br>Un abrazo<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>I\u00f1aki Pastor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>PD.
