The training allows an accurate assessment of the infant's neurodevelopment, and the detection of articular, tissue or cranial alterations that may be interfering in their development.
With PIMT we can treat cramping, congenital torticollis, irritability, digestive disorders, cranial deformities, etc. in a very effective way. With gentle but very detailed and extremely effective manual techniques.
Within this integrative vision, it is essential to assist parents to stimulate the motor and sensory patterns that the infant needs at each stage of their development. In this way, the children will immediately use the ranges of movement and control gained in the session and guarantee results by implementing the stimulation.
The training allows a defined assessment of the child's neurodevelopment, and the detection of articular, tissue or cranial alterations that may be interfering in their development in attention deficit, learning and behaviour problems.
Aspects such as coordination, balance, the integration of primitive and postural reflexes are assessed. All this integrating the possible restrictions of articular or tissue mobility that may be related.
PIMT restores the health and mobility to biomechanical tissues and systems, activating more correct motor patterns and educating parents to provide children with the necessary stimuli for their development.
Level 1. Paediatric Integrative Manual Therapy and introduction to Neurodevelopment (2 seminars)
At this level, the foundations of training in Paediatric Integrative Manual Therapy are established.
Basic competences are acquired for the assessment and treatment of spine and limbs, both at an articular and tissue level. You learn to assess the motor patterns of the infant and the child and to programme an ideal development.
The biomechanics of childbirth is developed and its consequences for the baby's cervical spine.
Neurodevelopment from an integrative model in Paediatric Integrative Manual Therapy (2 seminars)
At this level, you learn to assess the neurodevelopmental state of an infant and a child, and discover the biomechanical articular and tissue aspects that have not developed correctly.
The necessary stimuli in a baby are studied in terms of vestibular, tactile and proprioceptive senses for an ideal neuro-sensory motor development.
The consequences that the mechanical and proprioceptive dysfunctions have for future coordination, balance, attention and academic performance are understood.
Competences are acquired for the treatment of body structures that directly influence these developmental problems.
Level 3. Assessment and treatment of the skull and face from an integrative model in Paediatric Manual Therapy (2 seminars)
This level is an extensive manual therapy course in the paediatric cranial sphere. You cannot treat an infant as an adult at a cranial level, the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the baby's head, require specific knowledge and manoeuvres.
The assessment and treatment of the skull and face of the child are developed. These are associated with pathologies such as plagiocephaly, otitis, apnea due to difficulties breathing through the nose, tear duct obstructions, headaches, oculomotor alterations, etc.
